13th BSL symposium on rail freight transport in the train formation facility in Halle/S.

Halle/S. is an important hub for rail freight traffic. In a project lasting until 2018, the train formation system Halle/S.-Nord was converted into one of the most modern in Europe and upgraded to a central system in Central Germany.

On 07.03.19, renowned representatives from the transport industry met here to discuss the development of rail infrastructure on the one hand and to present projects and application examples on the other.

Our CEO Eric Steck informed in his presentation about "Data acquisition and status documentation for the digitalized handling of rail transports" with the help of our OCR technology. 

With NUMBERCheck Rail & Truck Gate we have fully automated the registration of vehicles and their loading units. Using high-resolution cameras, all trains, wagons or trucks are scanned as they pass through a video gate and the recorded data is transmitted via interfaces to a higher-level customer system.
